Great blog! Some studies have shown a correlation of higher white blood cell count in cold water swimmers than in other swimmers. This could be related to the body having to react to forced changes in its environment, such as immersion in very cold water.

River and rainwater penetrates through rock layers and into the earth's interior. Underground water bodies can be divided and/or confined in various locations and depths by water-impermeable layers of rock or clay. They are known as aquifers. Water in aquifers can flow in a certain direction, just like rivers found on the surface of the earth, and as it travels down the ground, it can dissolve minerals or chemicals and convey pesticides and microorganisms. Bore water drawn from one aquifer at different depths or from multiple aquifers at the same depth may not have the same chemical and microbial characteristics.
